109 years - Fragments of a history of achievements
Famous for its location, Anápolis celebrates 109 years of historical landmarks.
Since 1870 when de Souza Ramos Gomes started the colonization of the village where a chapel was built in honor of St. Ana, the region was famous for its location, obligatory passage for those who were heading toward the Bonfim gold mines (Silvânia ), Meia Ponte (Pirenópolis) and Vila Boa (City of Goiás).
Since then, the economy experienced different economic cycles, especially from the opening of the railway Goyaz, in 1935, when he was an active trade. Years later came the wholesale trade, the ceramic industry that supported the creation of two capitais- Goiania and Brasilia, the major cereal and in the 70s, started the industrialization cycle, with the implementation of the Agroindustrial District. 1944 - Brazil enters World War II to fight alongside the allies. Anapolinos that formed the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB) embarked for combat fields in Italy.
1946 - Believing in the city's potential, Socrates Mardocheu Diniz founded the Commercial Bank of the State of Goiás genuinely anapolino Enterprise..
